Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a program related to linguistics, translation, or related studies.
• Previous academic or work experience in an international environment is advantageous
• Bilingual or multilingual with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and another language (fluency in additional languages a plus).
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the fields of translation, interpretation, or linguistics would be an asset.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana) is a plus.
• A keen eye for detail and a meticulous approach to quality assurance.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills for effective communication with clients and linguists.

Responsibilities

• Assist project managers with tasks like client intake, project setup, and quote preparation.
• Manage translator and interpreter assignments, ensuring clear communication and timely delivery.
• Conduct research to find qualified linguists based on project requirements and subject matter expertise.
• Utilize project management tools to track project progress, deadlines, and budgets.
• Proofread translated documents for accuracy, terminology consistency, and cultural sensitivity.
• Coordinate communication between clients, linguists, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Gain exposure to different translation and interpreting specialties (e.g., legal, medical, technical).
