Aspiring sports enthusiasts, this is your chance to shine! Skyhawks Sports Academy is seeking passionate and driven individuals for its Summer’24 Sport Management Internship. Immerse yourself in the dynamic world of youth sports, gaining valuable experience while contributing to the development of young athletes. From coaching to curriculum development, you’ll play a vital role in making a positive impact on children’s lives through engaging and enriching sports programs.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Sports Management, Recreation, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong passion for sports and a desire to work with children.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate children in a positive and encouraging manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel to camp locations (mostly elementary schools) within the Greater Twin Cities metro area.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively coach children between the ages of 2-12 years in various sports camps, including basketball, soccer, and flag football.
  • Prepare and deliver engaging curriculum that fosters a fun and positive learning environment.
  • Assist with camp set-up, equipment management, and administrative tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, volunteers, and other staff members.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the camp program by upholding safety standards and promoting a positive sports culture.
