Information Services Intern

Information Services Intern - Part-Time at Monroe County

Do you have a passion for technology and a desire to gain valuable experience in local government? Monroe County’s Information Services department is seeking a part-time intern to join our team. You’ll work alongside IT professionals, assisting with various tasks that support the county’s technology infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in computer science, information technology, or a related field (associate or bachelor’s level)
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware and software
  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS) is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to learn independently and follow instructions carefully
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy

Responsibilities

  • Assist IT staff with technical tasks such as data entry, user support, and equipment configuration (under supervision)
