Ticket Sales Intern

Summary:

The Reading Royals, a professional hockey team based in Reading, PA, is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Ticket Sales + Sponsorship Intern to join our team during the Summer of 2024. As an intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in the sports industry while assisting with various ticket sales and sponsorship activities.

Qualification:

• College credit requirement: Must be enrolled in a college or university program that offers credit for internships.
• Sports industry knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of the sports industry and its dynamics.
• Academic enrollment: Currently enrolled in a Business or Sports Management degree program at a college or university.
• Availability for game nights: Able to work during game nights, which may include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

• Sell various ticket plans: Assist in selling full-season ticket plans, partial-season plans, group tickets, and fundraising tickets.
• Conduct sales calls: Receive training and collaborate with the supervisor to complete a minimum of 30 sales calls per day.
• Support ticket sales: Aid in the service of ticket sales by working with full/partial season ticket holders and group leaders.
• Provide customer service: Offer excellent customer service to all fans on game nights while assisting with game operations.
• Learn Ticketmaster: Develop a working knowledge of Ticketmaster ticketing system.
• Manage Will Call tickets: Print and distribute Will Call tickets on game nights.
• Process individual ticket orders: Assist with incoming individual ticket orders by processing ticket orders and payments.
• Database management: Collect, input, and manage data in the CRM system.
• Additional responsibilities: Complete any additional tasks assigned by the Ticket Sales Coordinator.

The internship will be conducted in Pennsylvania, United States.
