Retail Intern at Vacheron Constantin

Overview:

Vacheron Constantin is currently seeking enthusiastic and passionate students who are eager to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations and projects of luxury brands in the jewelry, timepiece, fashion, and accessories industries. As a Retail Intern at Vacheron Constantin, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to fully engage with the culture and organization of Richemont, and participate in a diverse range of activities.

Responsibility: 

The primary mission of the Retail Intern is to gain a comprehensive understanding of the luxury retail environment within Vacheron Constantin. Throughout the internship, the Retail Intern will shadow and experience various crucial positions within the boutique, with responsibilities including:

Boutique Management:
– Learning about business acumen and the implementation of action plans to enhance results and drive sales.
– Gaining insight into sales leadership by understanding how to set performance targets for the team and individuals using relevant KPIs.
– Staying informed about the local trading environment and its impact on sales, including competitors’ activities.
– Familiarizing oneself with proposed in-boutique activities.
– Supporting and observing the correct execution of operating procedures, brand guidelines, and Richemont compliance by assisting the staff.
– Developing an understanding of Vacheron Constantin client profiles, including locals and tourists.

Boutique Operations:
– Collaborating with the Boutique Manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of overall boutique operations.
– Complying with all security and operational policies and procedures for the Group, Maison, and boutique.
– Assisting with the daily setup and breakdown of the boutique, and promptly communicating any maintenance issues.
– Learning about merchandising and the daily maintenance of displays and back-stock.
– Assisting with incoming and outgoing transfers and shipments.
– Acquiring an understanding of After-Sales Services.

Hospitality:
– Ensuring exceptional client welcome and providing outstanding hospitality throughout their Vacheron Constantin journey.
– Utilizing Maison storytelling and heritage to enhance the client experience.
– Understanding the flow of boutique traffic and ensuring all clients are attended to promptly.
– Assisting the commercial team with various activities to ensure seamless client experiences, including preparation, client entertainment, product presentation, and sales finalization.

Sales Associate:
– Gaining an understanding of consistently achieving or surpassing individual and boutique monthly sales targets, as directed by management.
– Learning how to foster strong client relationships both within and outside the boutique, effectively representing the organization.
– Demonstrating proactive skills in attracting new clients and developing existing clientele.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program at the time of application.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential,
  • Innovative mindset comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate should also possess strong teamwork skills,
  • Motivation to empower and assist others in achieving success,
  • Energetic and eager to contribute to projects and initiatives.

Pay:

This is a paid internship, with a salary range of $20-25 per hour.
