Procurement Analyst at UNDP Overview 

As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring efficient, transparent, and ethical procurement processes aligned with UNDP’s mission of achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs). Your contributions will support impactful programs in areas such as poverty eradication, climate action, and global partnership building.

Main Responsibilities of Procurement Analyst at UNDP

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to support program delivery in compliance with UNDP policies and procedures.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including drafting solicitation documents, bid evaluations, and contract management.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and ensure value-for-money procurement.
  • Collaborate with project teams to forecast procurement needs and optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local regulations, fostering a culture of accountability and transparency.
  • Provide technical support and capacity-building initiatives to stakeholders on procurement practices.

Qualifications and Experience of Procurement Analyst at UNDP

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract management, and vendor negotiations.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
