Pharmacy Intern- Kaiser Permanente

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Intern to join our team and contribute to exceptional patient care. In this role, you’ll gain valuable experience working alongside licensed pharmacists in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You’ll play an integral part in supporting pharmacy operations and directly assisting patients with their medication needs.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (or have a BS in Pharmacy with application for a state license)
• Pharmacy Technician Certification (or equivalent)
• Valid intern pharmacist license (or ability to obtain one)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in computer applications relevant to pharmacy practice
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications
• Accurately measure and prepare medications
• Verify prescription information and identify potential drug interactions
• Provide medication education and counseling to patients
• Maintain accurate and organized pharmacy records
• Perform inventory control and restock medications
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives
• May assist with other pharmacy operations as needed
