Kaiser Permanente is seeking a motivated Pharmacy Intern to join our team and contribute to exceptional patient care. Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (or have a BS in Pharmacy with application for a state license)
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (or equivalent)
- Valid intern pharmacist license (or ability to obtain one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in computer applications relevant to pharmacy practice
- Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists with dispensing medications
- Accurately measure and prepare medications
- Verify prescription information and identify potential drug interactions
- Provide medication education and counseling to patients
- Maintain accurate and organized pharmacy records
- Perform inventory control and restock medications
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives
- May assist with other pharmacy operations as needed
