Summary:

Lakeland Regional Health (LRH) is seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Intern (PRN) to join their team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable clinical experience while working alongside experienced nurses in a supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited pre-licensure nursing program (e.g., ASN or BSN).
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative under supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Assist registered nurses with patient care activities under direct supervision (tasks may vary depending on the department).
• Provide basic care to patients, such as taking vital signs, assisting with ambulation, and performing hygiene tasks.
• Document patient care activities accurately and concisely in electronic health records (EHR).
• Observe and report patient conditions and changes to registered nurses.
• Participate in educational opportunities and training sessions provided by LRH.
• May have the opportunity to rotate through different departments (depending on program structure).
