Volunteer Requirements:

  • Qualified professionals and students at all levels of medical or nursing study.
  • Intermediate level of Spanish.
  • Basic knowledge of preventative healthcare.
  • Experience with basic medical tasks such as taking blood pressure and testing glucose levels.
  • Minimum age requirement of 18 years.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with health promotion campaigns and medical campaigns in low-income communities.
  • Conduct children’s health evaluations in local schools.
  • Deliver health prevention talks.
  • Perform basic preventive checkups in local markets.
  • Support local government health campaigns.
  • Take vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, and glucose levels.
  • Conduct general checkups including measurements of weight, height, and BMI.
