Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field (or recent graduate)
  • Strong understanding of adolescent development and youth challenges
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with youth
  • Ability to de-escalate conflict situations and provide emotional support
  • Commitment to cultural competency and working effectively with diverse populations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with case management for assigned youth, including needs assessments, goal setting, and progress monitoring
  • Connect youth with appropriate resources and services (e.g., mental health counseling, educational opportunities)
  • Facilitate individual and group interventions aimed at positive behavior change and skill development
  • Advocate for youth in court settings and with other service providers (may vary)
  • Participate in outreach activities to connect with youth in the community (may vary)
  • Contribute to program development and evaluation efforts
