Summary:

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field (a plus).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and content creation strategies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) (a plus).
  • A passion for public service and a commitment to clear communication (a plus).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing and scheduling engaging social media content that informs the public about DPU initiatives and services.
  • Monitor social media platforms for trends, feedback, and media inquiries.
  • Support the creation of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
  • Assist with research and analysis of public communication efforts (possible).
  • May participate in outreach events and engage with the community (depending on the program).
