Qualification:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or associate degree in information technology or a related field.
  • Enrolled in post-high school education for the Fall 2024 semester.
  • Completion of at least one year in a related field is preferred.
  • Considered a full-time student with a course load of 12 credits or more.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, handle multiple tasks, and quickly adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a friendly presence, helpful attitude, and ability to work well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Capable of providing technical support over the phone, with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Previous customer service experience is highly desired.
  • Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to visualize and think abstractly to solve problems or address situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
  • Recording system problems and status information using Microsoft’s SCSM (Service Management Process).
  • Utilizing Microsoft Service Manager to document, prioritize, and track requests.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PCs, laptops, networks, local servers, printers, remote access, and file shares.
  • Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, over the phone, or through electronic channels.
  • Logging all interactions with the help desk and maintaining a record of them.
  • Identifying and escalating situations that require urgent attention, redirecting problems to the appropriate technical resources.
  • Tracking and routing problems and requests, and documenting resolutions.
  • Familiarizing yourself with each department and their respective applications.
  • Gaining knowledge of the fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment.
  • Ensuring compliance with 6S standards.
