Qualification:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or associate degree in information technology or a related field.
- Enrolled in post-high school education for the Fall 2024 semester.
- Completion of at least one year in a related field is preferred.
- Considered a full-time student with a course load of 12 credits or more.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively manage time, handle multiple tasks, and quickly adapt to changes in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess a friendly presence, helpful attitude, and ability to work well with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Capable of providing technical support over the phone, with good phone skills and a professional demeanor.
- Previous customer service experience is highly desired.
- Good problem-solving skills, including the ability to visualize and think abstractly to solve problems or address situations.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting the staff with the installation, configuration, and ongoing support of desktop computers, peripheral equipment, and software.
- Recording system problems and status information using Microsoft’s SCSM (Service Management Process).
- Utilizing Microsoft Service Manager to document, prioritize, and track requests.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to PCs, laptops, networks, local servers, printers, remote access, and file shares.
- Responding to requests for technical assistance in person, over the phone, or through electronic channels.
- Logging all interactions with the help desk and maintaining a record of them.
- Identifying and escalating situations that require urgent attention, redirecting problems to the appropriate technical resources.
- Tracking and routing problems and requests, and documenting resolutions.
- Familiarizing yourself with each department and their respective applications.
- Gaining knowledge of the fundamental operations of commonly used software, hardware, and other equipment.
- Ensuring compliance with 6S standards.
