Fred V. Grau Turfgrass Science Award

Summary:

• The Fred V. Grau Turfgrass Science Award is presented in recognition of significant career contributions in turfgrass science during the most recent 15 years.
• The evaluation criteria include:
• Significance and originality of basic and/or applied research
• Teaching ability and effectiveness
• Planning and implementation of extension programs
• Development and implementation of significant industrial programs
• Administrative ability and effectiveness
• total effect of national and international contributions to turfgrass science.

Sponsor:

The award is sponsored by the Crop Science Society of America.

Eligibility:

• Nominees must be members of ASA, CSSA, and/or SSSA.
• Nominees must have a career interest of at least 15 years in turfgrass science.
• Nominees must be living at the time of their nomination.
• Former recipients of this award are not eligible.
• Teams are not eligible to be nominated.
