Engineering Student Intern

Latham Pool Products, the largest designer and manufacturer of residential inground swimming pools, is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Student Intern to join their team in Lindon, Utah. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in various engineering disciplines related to pool products. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, assisting with tasks like lab testing, CAD design, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (e.g., mechanical, electrical, manufacturing)
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and internal procedures
• SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling experience for building models of mechanical and electrical hardware (for the Electrical Engineering Intern role, the ability to interpret basic electrical schematics is preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing of various equipment and products
• Assist engineers with CAD modeling and design projects
• Participate in time studies to evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements
• Analyze potential design changes to enhance product performance and quality
• Contribute to maintaining and updating engineering drawings and bill of materials
• Maintain accurate records of projects and internship activities
• May assist with other engineering tasks as assigned
