Latham Pool Products, the largest designer and manufacturer of residential inground swimming pools, is seeking an enthusiastic Engineering Student Intern to join their team in Lindon, Utah. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in various engineering disciplines related to pool products. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, assisting with tasks like lab testing, CAD design, and process improvement initiatives. Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (e.g., mechanical, electrical, manufacturing)
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and internal procedures
- SolidWorks 2D/3D modeling experience for building models of mechanical and electrical hardware (for the Electrical Engineering Intern role, the ability to interpret basic electrical schematics is preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory testing of various equipment and products
- Assist engineers with CAD modeling and design projects
- Participate in time studies to evaluate manufacturing processes and recommend improvements
- Analyze potential design changes to enhance product performance and quality
- Contribute to maintaining and updating engineering drawings and bill of materials
- Maintain accurate records of projects and internship activities
- May assist with other engineering tasks as assigned
