Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, with some experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

• Excellent mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new skills quickly.
• Proficient in using hand tools and comfortable working in a shop environment.
• A basic understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
• Strong work ethic with a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Learn and assist with repair and maintenance of plant equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and electrical motors.
• Understand and follow lockout/tagout, confined space, and hot work permit procedures.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
• Utilize mechanical drawings and schematics to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Assist with installing, modifying, and updating equipment as needed.
• Document maintenance activities and repairs using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Participate in inventory management and assist with ordering parts.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and learn about Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) programs.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
