Cafeteria Manager Intern

This internship with Clay County School District’s Food and Nutrition Services department offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in school cafeteria management. You’ll play a significant role in ensuring students receive nutritious and delicious meals in a welcoming environment. Qualifications

• Enrolled in a high school or college with a demonstrable interest in food service or hospitality
• Strong work ethic, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Basic understanding of sanitation and food safety procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (or similar) a plus

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, service, and inventory control
• Ensure cafeteria cleanliness and adherence to safety regulations
• Provide exceptional customer service to students and staff
• Assist with menu planning and recipe development.
• Learn about federal and state regulations governing school meal programs
• Participate in professional development opportunities offered by the district.
