This fellowship is your chance to make a real difference! The Atlantic Fellows for Social Equity (AFSE) program offers a life-changing experience to develop your leadership skills and create positive social change in your community.

Here’s what you’ll gain:

  • Master of Social Change Leadership: Earn a free postgraduate degree from the University of Melbourne.
  • Intensive Learning: Participate in six in-person modules and develop a social change project.
  • Global Network: Join a powerful community of 900+ changemakers across the world.

  • Indigenous Language and Education
  • Land, Water, Environment, or Climate Issues

Project Development:

You’ll design a social change project that addresses a critical issue in your community. AFSE encourages innovative, community-focused ideas with a high potential for impact.

Time Commitment:

This is a full-time program (40 hours/week). While demanding, AFSE provides extensive support to help you succeed, including:

  • Full tuition coverage
  • One-on-one tutoring and learning support
  • Free mental health support
  • Disability access and support

Eligibility:

  • Indigenous or permanent resident of Australia, Aotearoa, or a Pacific Island nation.
  • Mid-career with a strong social change background (undergraduate degree or 5-8 years’ experience).
  • Committed to a non-residential program involving travel and study.
  • Proficient in English.

We’re looking for:

  • Compelling social change idea (doesn’t have to be fully formed).
  • Proven ability to lead and collaborate.
  • Commitment to lifelong learning and community engagement.
