Machinist Intern

Ingersoll Rand offers a Machinist Internship program for students interested in gaining hands-on experience in the manufacturing environment. This internship provides an opportunity to learn about precision machining, operate CNC machines, and contribute to the production of high-quality industrial components.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a technical or vocational program related to machining, manufacturing, or a similar field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in working with machinery
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality
• Ability to learn and follow safety protocols in a manufacturing setting
• Basic understanding of mechanical drawings and blueprint reading (a plus)
• Basic computer literacy (familiarity with CNC software is preferable)

Responsibilities:

• Assist machinists with machine setup, operation, and maintenance tasks
• Learn to operate CNC machines.
• Perform basic machining operations under supervision.
• Inspect parts for quality and accuracy using measuring tools and instruments
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Contribute to data collection and documentation of machining processes.
