Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering (minimum sophomore year).
  • Cumulative grade point average of at least 3.00 on a scale of 4.0
  • A strong understanding of industrial engineering principles, including process improvement, data analysis, and quality control.
  • Proficiency in engineering software tools like AutoCAD, Lean Six Sigma, or similar (a plus).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with a diverse team.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with conducting process analysis and identifying opportunities for improvement within the manufacturing plant.
  • Participate in data collection and analysis to optimize production line efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Support with implementing and evaluating process improvement initiatives, such as Lean Six Sigma methodologies (as applicable).
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure tire production meets the highest standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and presentations, showcasing your findings and recommendations.
  • Gain exposure to various aspects of industrial engineering within a tire manufacturing setting.
