The project is based in New Orleans, Louisiana, a vibrant city rich in culture and community spirit. You’ll work with young people in neighborhoods throughout New Orleans.

Fees:

• Programs start at an affordable rate of $345 for one week.
• This fee is all-inclusive, covering airport pickup, orientation, accommodation in a shared volunteer house with other volunteers, meals (breakfast and dinner), and 24/7 in-country support.

• Affordable fees from $635 for 1 week

Volunteer Requirements:

• Applicants must be 18 years or older (family programs may also be available).
• Prior experience working with youth is beneficial but not mandatory. A passion for supporting young people, a positive attitude, and a creative approach are essential.
• Patience, understanding, and the ability to connect with young people from diverse backgrounds are crucial.
• Basic English communication skills are necessary.
• IVHQ recommends a willingness to learn basic Spanish to enhance communication with program participants and their families.
