The World Forestry Center Fellowship Program 2024

Summary:
The World Forestry Center Fellowship Program is a six-month program that provides participants with access to world-class experts, field visits, workshops, and networking opportunities. It is open to forestry professionals from around the world who have initiated or are interested in projects designed to improve the management and conservation of forests and natural resources. The application deadline is April 15, 2024.

Application requirements:
To apply, you need to have a bachelor’s degree or higher in forestry or a related field, at least five years of professional experience in forestry or natural resources management, an innovative and impactful project proposal for enhancing forestry and natural resources management, reliable access to broadband Internet connection and relevant device, availability to fully participate in the six-month experience, and proficiency in verbal and written English.

Fellowship benefits:
As a fellow, you will get two weeks of intensive training, as well as ongoing support and guidance from World Forestry Center staff and partners. You will also join a network of diverse and passionate forestry leaders and peers who share your vision and values.

Fellowship type:
The fellowship is a full-time, immersive, and remote program that lasts for six months, from September 2024 to February 2025. You will work on your own projects and assignments, as well as collaborate with other fellows and mentors throughout the program.

Award Fellowships:
The World Forestry Center will select 15 fellows for the 2024 cohort, based on the quality and diversity of their applications. The fellowship covers the cost of tuition, travel, accommodation, and living expenses.
