Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting (completion of corporate or individual taxation class is required).
- Above average competency in accounting as demonstrated by college GPA (minimum 3.0 GPA preferred).
- Pursuing 150 credits in order to be eligible to take the CPA test after graduation.
- Preferred coursework in Data Analytics or Big Data (a plus).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to think independently, make good decisions, and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Commitment to accuracy and adherence to professional accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with various accounting tasks, such as accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
- Support client teams with tax preparation, financial statement audits, and other accounting services (specifics may vary).
- Conduct research and analyze financial data to support informed decision-making.
- Utilize data analytics skills to identify trends and provide insights (if applicable).
- Participate in professional development opportunities and training programs offered by Wipfli.
- Interact with clients and colleagues, fostering positive relationships and effective communication.
