Website Design Internship

Summary

This internship offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to UMUC’s online presence! You’ll work alongside the university’s web design team, gaining hands-on experience with website development and user experience (UX) design principles.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of web design fundamentals (HTML, CSS) (preferred)
• Knowledge of user interface (UI) and UX design principles
• Excellent visual communication and design sense
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Familiarity with accessibility best practices (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and development of new website elements or content pages
• Contribute to website maintenance and updating existing content
• Conduct user research and analyze website traffic data.
• Learn about content management systems (CMS) used by UMUC
• Stay up-to-date on current web design trends and best practices
