International Volunteer HQ’s Community Support project is based in a community center in Athens that provides a safe space for refugees and asylum seekers to upskill, secure steady employment and integrate into Greek society. As a volunteer in Greece, you’ll help local NGOs work together to provide workshops, language classes, and other essential services for refugees.

Fees:
The fees and the number of weeks vary depending on the volunteer’s choice, with program fees starting from $1050 for 2 weeks. Additionally, all programs attract a registration fee of US$329, which covers all pre-departure support services. The program fee includes accommodation, meals, airport pick up, orientation and 24/7 support.
Aims:
- Provide support to refugees and asylum seekers in Athens by assisting local NGOs in offering essential services, workshops, and language classes.
- Help refugees and asylum seekers integrate into Greek society by providing them with opportunities to learn new skills and find steady employment.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the community center by providing support in various tasks such as meal preparation and distribution, basic administration, gardening, cleaning, and assisting teachers with workshops and lessons. This support ensures that the center can effectively serve the needs of refugees and asylum seekers.
- Offer volunteers the opportunity to learn about NGO operations in Greece, enhance their communication skills, gain community outreach and teaching experience, and immerse themselves in Greek culture.
