Ghana Health Awareness Volunteers

Empowering Communities for NCD Prevention, Healthy Lifestyles, and Mental Wellness

Summary:

Global Volunteers will actively engage in community outreach initiatives in the field of public health. They will design and implement outreach activities to promote awareness about the prevention of non-communicable diseases, healthy lifestyle habits, and mental health in the community.

Aims:

  • Increase community awareness on NCD prevention and mental health, aligned with SDG #3 (Good Health and Well-being).
  • Engage the community through diverse outreach activities, promoting healthy habits and addressing NCDs.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions on healthy lifestyle elements, substance abuse consequences, nutrition, exercise, and emotional well-being.
  • Collect beneficiary data to assess awareness levels post-project activities, analyze outcomes, and provide recommendations for sustaining healthy habits.
