Summary:
The assignment is for an Online Volunteer to translate written documents on humanitarian innovation projects between Arabic and English. The volunteer will be required to work 16-20 hours per week for 12 weeks.
The tasks for the Online Volunteer include proofreading and ensuring accurate translations of various documents from Arabic to English, such as internal messages, website texts, innovation fund application forms, and project proposal forms. Additionally, the volunteer will translate documents from English to Arabic, including social media cards, key messages promoting the Refugee-led Innovation Fund, communications guidance, and submitted innovation applications. There may also be a need for Arabic-English interpretation in online meetings.

Requirements:
- Candidates should be fluent in Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) and English.
- Familiarity with the Middle East and North Africa context and terms related to innovation will be considered an advantage.
- Previous translation experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
1)To proofread the following Arabic-translated documents and ensure the translation is accurate, concise, in line with our communications guidelines, and fits the audience:
– Internal messages for Broadcast and login screen
– Texts on our website’s Fund pages
– Innovation Fund Application forms
– Four project proposal forms
2) To translate the following documents from English to Arabic:
– Social media cards and key messages promoting the Refugee-led Innovation Fund
– Communications Guidance (5 pages)
– Submitted innovation applications
3) To provide Arabic-English interpretation in online meetings when required.
