Visa Accelerator Program

The Visa Accelerator Program is a program that helps startups in the fintech sector to grow and scale in the Asia Pacific region. The Visa Accelerator  program offers the following:

1. Application requirements: You need to have a growth-stage startup with a proven solution that addresses one of the themes: unlocking new payment flows, embedded finance, empowering merchants and SMEs, payment infrastructure enablers, the future of finance, or sustainable and inclusive finance. You also need to have enough resources and runway to participate in the program and show commitment to expanding in Asia Pacific.

2. Fellowship benefits: You will receive up to US$50,000 in equity-free funding, at Visa’s discretion, to support your proof-of-concept (POC) with Visa. You will also get access to Visa’s experts, mentors, partners, and network, as well as fintech and payment training modules. You will have the opportunity to showcase your startup during the Demo Day and be considered for an investment by Visa, Plug and Play, and other venture capitalists.

3. Fellowship type: The program is a three-month accelerator that requires you to collaborate with Visa and other stakeholders to co-develop, test, and launch your POC. You will also have to attend online and in-person sessions, workshops, and events throughout the program.

4. Award Fellowships: The program is run by Visa and Plug and Play, with funding from the Visa Foundation. The number of fellowships awarded each year depends on the quality and fit of the applicants. For more information
