Summary:
The Video Production Intern will have a vital role in capturing, editing, and organizing videos and graphics. This position emphasizes the art of storytelling to establish a strong connection between the team and fans. It is specifically designed for recent or upcoming college graduates who are eager to embark on their professional journey in the sports industry. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and contribute ideas to enhance your learg experience. We offer flexible office hours to accommodate any class credit requirements. Please note that this is an unpaid, in-person internship, but there may be paid gameday opportunities available. A portfolio submission is a mandatory requirement for the application.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with your supervisor to produce videos according to the given direction and take the initiative to create original content. The completed pieces will be showcased in the arena on the videoboard and shared on various social media platforms.
- Manage and organize highlights from each home game efficiently.
- Assist with in-game entertainment and video production for our game streams on FloSports during gamedays.
- Generate innovative ideas to produce captivating stories that deeply resonate with our fans.
- Fulfill additional assigned duties as required.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to the organization’s vision and provide constructive feedback to your supervisor for continuous improvement.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Availability to work all 36 home games or as many games as possible throughout the season.
- Proficiency in using Premiere and Photoshop. Knowledge of Aftereffects is considered a valuable asset.
- Possess a discerning eye for shot design and composition.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on maintaining high work standards.
- Reliable and dependable in meeting deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and occasional weeknights.
- A comprehensive portfolio that showcases previous work, which can include subjects beyond sports.
