Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Library Science, History, Archival Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of records management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with digital archiving tools and preservation methodologies (a plus).
  • Strong ability to research, analyze, and categorize information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the arrangement and description of physical and digital archival materials.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of digital preservation strategies.
  • Participate in the creation of finding aids and other access tools for researchers.
  • Assist with responding to research inquiries from staff and external users.
  • Support the digitization of historical documents and photographs (as needed).
  • Participate in other duties as assigned by the Records Management Supervisor.
