UNOPS stands for United Nations Office for Project Services, is an operational arm of the United Nations that established to provide project management, procurement, and infrastructure of services for supporting the implementation of United Nations and other partner agencies’ projects.
UNOPS is founded in 1973, It aims to enhance the ability of governments and other entities to support and deliver their programs and achieve sustainable results. This agency operates in various sectors, including infrastructure, health, education, and environmental sustainability, and it works internationally to address the diverse needs of its partners. UNOPS concentrated on delivering effective and efficient solutions and emphasizing sustainable society and capacity building.

In the lead-up to the Summit of the Future, the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) is preparing a spotlight on the voices of global youth, ensuring their perspectives shape global discussions on multilateralism and sustainable development.

for marking this vision a reality, UNOPS has introduced the Youth Engagement Platform, an advisory group designed to align the organization’s efforts with the goals of the 2030 Agenda.

Starting the UNOPS Youth Platform: ’30 Below 30, to Get 2030′
The platform, known as ’30 Below 30, to Get 2030,’ seeking to harness the energy and ideas of young leaders from around the world. By fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking, this initiative aims to co-create meaningful solutions that advance sustainable development, ensuring a fairer and more sustainable world by 2030.

The mission of the UNOPS Youth Platform is for ensuring that gloabl youth perspectives are woven into the fabric of the organization’s strategic planning. This global valueble platform will provide critical guidance as global challenges evolve, making sure that the voices and concerns of younger generations are central to international decision-making.

What the Platform Hopes to Achieve
This platform is designed for injecting  youth-driven insights into UNOPS’s participation in the Summit of the Future, shaping the organization’s contributions to global sustainability efforts. The feedback from this youth engagement will help steer UNOPS’s strategic priorities for the years ahead.

Selection and Composition
UNOPS Youth Platform will be included of 30 young leaders, all under the age of 30, with a minimum age of 17. Participants will serve a one-year term, with the possibility of renewal depending on the outcomes of the Summit of the Future.
