UNICEF Leading Minds Fellowship

UNICEF Leading Minds Fellowship on Climate

Summary:

The 2024 UNICEF Leading Minds Fellowship on Climate is now accepting applications.

Are you addressing climate change both locally and globally? UNICEF would love to speak with you if you are between the ages of 15 and 25 and aspire to play a significant part in determining not just your future but also the future of a world experiencing its worst crises.

To build and develop the potential of young climate leaders, UNICEF is looking for committed young leaders to join the core team of our six-month-long, intense program called Leading Minds Fellows on Climate.

You have the opportunity to direct the agenda of UNICEF’s Leading Minds conference in 2024, which is centered on climate breakthroughs, with this part-time paid fellowship.

Young people co-created and co-led Leading Minds, a flagship platform for global thought leadership and conference series with an eye toward the future. It seeks to bring together forward-thinking leaders and thinkers, as well as advocates from the future generation, to address pressing issues that have the potential to drastically impact children and youth and to establish a platform for the fusion of power and knowledge. Here’s where changemakers emerge from thought leaders.

Program Details

  • Each of you will negotiate difficult global issues, put forward creative ideas, and promote children’s rights as a Leading Minds Fellow. Building a global network of peers and professionals, you will interact with a broad collection of mentors and experts and acquire professional experience in a multicultural atmosphere.🎨 This year, as part of the application process, you can showcase your imaginative entries that illustrate your vision for a more environmentally friendly future. A short story, film, poetry, song, visual art, or any other expressive medium of your choice may be used to submit the content.
  • Through online channels, the fellowship will begin in February 2024 and run for six months. Fellows must be able to commit to the fellowship for an average of five to ten hours each week. Furthermore, it might be necessary for the chosen fellows to visit Florence, Italy in May or June of 2024 (TBC).
  • To collaborate globally with UNICEF and colleagues, fellows must speak and understand English.
  • A stipend will be provided to the chosen fellows for their labor during the fellowship term.
