Education & Qualifications Requirements:

  • Have University degrees in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, and chemistry.
  • Have a master’s degree in chemical engineering, and electrical engineering.

 Work Experiences:

  • Have Excellent skill in writing and speaking communication skills, and the capacity to establish productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable of the national context of Comoros and experience in environmental public policy in Comoros.
  • Must have Experience in multi-stakeholder engagement and working with government authorities in Africa.
  • Full Knowledge in modeling of GHG and air pollution mitigation measures with different software including LEAP IBC.
  • Have Experience in NDC and national communications development and revision.
  • Good Knowledge of GHG dynamics, short-lived climate pollutants, climate change, and air pollution issues in Comoros.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both English & French languages is Required (both oral and written).

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Develop a comprehensive methane roadmap following the CCAC Methane Roadmap Template.
  • Coordinate the preparation of National Methane Roadmap findings for presentation to the Government of Comoros.
  • The Expert is responsible for supporting the implementation of several environment planning projects.
  • Must advise and work with the qualified team to analyze, and collect climate projects.
  • Skilled in Developing analytical and diagnostic maps, drawings, graphics, and related reports.
  • Skilled in developing a critical analysis of existing planning documents and instruments with CCAC support.
  • Developing training materials for CCAC, remote sensing, and data analysis.
  • Developing and organizing participatory, multi-stakeholder processes.
  • Must Provide technical recommendations for environmental documents and publications.
