Transportation Intern at David Evans and Associates

Aspiring transportation engineers take note! David Evans and Associates (DEA) is seeking a motivated Transportation Intern to join their team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in transportation planning and design, working on real-world projects alongside industry professionals.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering (or a closely related field)
  • Strong foundation in transportation engineering principles (preferred)
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation software (a plus)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and clear motor vehicle report

Responsibilities

  • Assist with traffic impact studies, intersection analyses, and roadway design projects
  • Prepare technical documents and presentations related to transportation engineering
  • Conduct research and data analysis to support project development
  • Contribute to the creation of construction drawings and specifications (as applicable)
  • Participate in site visits and fieldwork (may vary by location)
