  • Applicants must be incoming students accepted into a doctoral degree program at McGill University, starting in Winter 2024, Summer 2024, or Fall 2024.
  • Students currently enrolled at McGill or those whose latest degree was completed or in progress at McGill are not eligible.
  • Former McGill students who completed a graduate degree elsewhere can apply.
  • Visiting students at McGill, working towards a degree from another university, are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must have a first-class academic record, with a GPA of 3.7 (or 3.5 in Law) in each of the last two years of full-time study at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

Fellowship Benefits:

  • Recipients of the Tomlinson Doctoral Fellowship will receive partial funding of up to CAD 35,000 per year, which can be renewed twice.
