In Moshi, Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Region, a grassroots non-profit group called Give a Heart To Africa (GHTA) runs an educational program aimed at empowering women. By providing one year of free classes in business, English, and vocational skills, the charity hopes to empower local women via education and entrepreneurship. After graduating, some of the women receive help launching a small company. Graduates translate and teach every topic, with the assistance of overseas volunteers.
