Eligibility:
- Recently earned PhD (within the last four years, with some exceptions).
- Employed by a UK university, research organization, or eligible institution.

Fellowship start date: Between August 1 and October 31, 2025
Key requirements:
- Your research host institution must be supportive and eligible for UKRI funding.
- Full-time dedication to the fellowship program is required.
- Employment will be through your host institution.
Additional information:
- Only the Research Fellowship scheme is available this year (EDRF scheme is discontinued).
- Previous applicants are encouraged to reapply.
- Institutions have a limit on applications (details in Applicant Guidance Notes).
- Permanent academic positions are no longer a barrier to eligibility.
