Summary:
International Volunteer HQ’s Summer Camp for teen volunteers is an awesome way for 16 and 17-year-old volunteers to spend part of their summer holidays contributing towards important community initiatives and learning about Guatemalan Culture. Volunteers can take part in community volunteering, and cultural and tourism activities for 1 – 3 weeks on this special summer camp project.

Fees:
The fees and the number of weeks vary depending on the volunteer’s choice, with program fees starting from $1920 for 1 week. Additionally, all programs attract a registration fee of US$329, which covers all pre-departure support services. The program fee includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, airport pick up, orientation and 24/7 support.
Aims:
- Provide teens with the opportunity to contribute to important community initiatives by engaging in community volunteering activities such as visits to childcare centers, community beautification initiatives, and teaching English to locals.
- Focus on the personal and professional development of teen volunteers, providing them with the opportunity to enhance their communication skills, broaden their perspectives, and gain a deeper understanding of Guatemalan culture, food, and history.
- Provide a rich cultural immersion experience for teens, allowing them to discover Guatemala’s vibrant culture and people through activities like salsa dance classes, cooking classes, cultural adventures, and nature tours, with the goal of fostering an appreciation for the local culture and creating meaningful connections with the people of Guatemala.
- Emphasize teamwork and collaboration skills among teen volunteers through community projects and cultural experiences, fostering appreciation for diverse perspectives.
