Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in technical/professional writing, communications, business, instructional design, computer science, information systems/technology, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of fundamental IT concepts, including hardware, software, and networking.
- Proficiency in a scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and a passion for technology.
Responsibilities
- Assist IT staff with various tasks, such as user support, software testing, or data analysis (as assigned).
- Contribute to ongoing IT projects by conducting research, testing new technologies, and documenting procedures.
- Gain exposure to different IT areas, such as network administration, cybersecurity, or application development (as available).
- Participate in troubleshooting technical issues and identifying potential solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest IT trends and technologies through independent research.
- Participate in other duties as assigned by the IT Supervisor.
