Science writing covers topics such as science, medicine, health, technology, and the environment.

It also includes customized seminars and workshops at the annual conferences of AHCJ, SEJ, and CASW/NASW, as well as virtual events, professional mentoring, and membership in these journalism organizations. For freelancers, there is an additional reporting project support stipend of $2,000 after completing the program.

3. Fellowship type: The fellowship is a one-year program that runs from April 2024 to November 2024. It is a development opportunity for journalists and students who aspire to careers in science writing for the general public. The fellowship does not fund internships.
