DEI Internship-Chatham County Government

Summary

Join the mission of fostering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) with Chatham County, GA Government! We are offering a temporary, grant-funded part-time internship (approximately 20 hours per week) for a passionate individual to contribute to our ongoing DEI efforts. You’ll gain valuable experience working alongside dedicated professionals and play a key role in advancing a more inclusive workplace culture for Chatham County employees.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university (ideally pursuing a degree in Social Justice, Public Administration, or a related field).
  • Strong understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and research skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • A commitment to social justice and a passion for creating a more equitable environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with research and data collection related to DEI initiatives within Chatham County Government.
  • Support the development and implementation of creative strategies and programs to promote inclusion.
  • Contribute to the creation and dissemination of educational materials on DEI topics for employees.
  • Assist with planning and organizing DEI workshops and events.
  • Participate in other duties as assigned by the DEI Coordinator.
