Volunteering in media library and digital FabLab 2024_2025
ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
The media library and fablab are located in the 
same building. A fablab is a collaborative workshop or creative studio focused on digital fabrication. The FougèresLab is free and open to all, so you can create projects, learn about technologies, repair and recycle, and more. We also organize events and workshops.
Missions :
- Work in link with the média library service in mediathèque around different projects.
- Promote the culture of the volunteer’s homeland among users of the media library andFabLab, and more widely in the local area.
- Learn the basics of digital fabrication and how to use the FabLab’s machines Orient users to the use of the fablab and, more broadly, the media library, and discuss the possibilities offered by these spaces.
- Help users realize their projects.
- Initiate exchanges and create links with médiathèque and fablab users;
- Participate in a collective project with other volunteers;
- Introduce fablab users and media library members to our country and its history.
TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
The volunteer will take part in an on-arrival training and mid-term evaluation organized by the National Agency. More Fougères has a rich associative sports and cultural fabric; depending on the interests of the youth, a membership will be realized.
PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We are looking for someone who shows a desire to communicate, exchange, share, and learn. It seems essential that the volunteer wants to propose activities and feels able to facilitate them. A basic level of French could be a plus.
