Volunteer as an English Teacher

Teaching English Volunteer Project in Costa Rica - Manuel Antonio

Summary:

International Volunteer HQ’s Teaching English project gives volunteers the tools and opportunity to gain teaching experience and pass on English skills which are highly valuable for local students. Volunteers will assist in classrooms, community centers, and even family homes in the coastal paradise of Manuel Antonio. Students include both adults and children who need to learn how to speak English if they are to secure employment in the booming tourism industry.

Fees:

The fees and the number of weeks vary depending on the volunteer’s choice, with program fees starting from $1165 for 3 weeks. Additionally, all programs attract a registration fee of US$329, which covers all pre-departure support services. The program fee includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner, airport pick-up, orientation and 24/7 support.

Aims:

  • Provide local students, both adults and children, with the opportunity to learn and develop their English language skills.
  • Empower students by equipping them with English language skills that are highly valued by employers. By teaching English, volunteers aim to contribute to enhancing the students’ chances of securing jobs and improving their overall employability.
