This award recognizes excellence in extension teaching activities in the area of crop science. It honors individuals or teams who have made significant contributions to educating and informing farmers, growers, and the public about crop production practices, technologies, and innovations.

Eligibility:

  • Open to extension crop scientists, industrial crop scientists, or others whose primary contributions are in teaching or education outside a formal classroom setting.
  • Nominees must be living at the time of nomination and cannot be members of the CSSA Award Committee or Board of Directors.
  • Previous recipients of the award are not eligible.

Benefits:

  • The recipient receives a certificate, a complimentary ticket to the award ceremony, and $2,000.
