Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in accounting or a related field (finance, business administration)
  • Minimum GPA of 3.25 preferred (demonstrated academic achievement is a plus)
  • Active participation in student organizations and prior work experience in accounting (a plus, but not required)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is a plus)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior accountants with day-to-day accounting tasks (data entry, bookkeeping, reconciliations)
  • Participate in the preparation of financial statements and reports (under supervision)
  • Gain exposure to tax preparation procedures (may vary by location)
  • Conduct research and analyze financial data as assigned
  • Participate in client meetings (as appropriate)
  • Learn about Myers and Stauffer’s industry specialization
