Small Business Research Initiative (SBRI) for Decarbonising Concrete

Grant Summary

Innovate UK is offering grants through the SBRI: Decarbonising Concrete competition to support the development and demonstration of innovative solutions that reduce the carbon footprint of concrete. This single-phase competition provides funding of up to £500,000 per project for 12 months.

Eligibility

The competition is open to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) registered in the UK. Your SME must demonstrate the ability to develop and showcase innovative solutions that address the carbon footprint of concrete.

Ineligible proposals include:

  • Those focusing solely on minimizing the use of existing commercially available concrete.
  • Proposals that replace concrete with other building materials entirely.
  • Projects solely focused on additives without considering their concrete application.
  • Unoriginal ideas, those outside the scope, or duplicating existing work.

Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is Monday, 4 March 2024, at 11:00 AM.
