The Climate and Clean Air Coalition (CCAC) is a partnership of governments, intergovernmental organizations, private sector representatives, environmental groups, and civil society members. As the sole international initiative addressing both climate and clean air challenges, CCAC aimed to quick implement solutions that curb near-term warming.

Education & Qualifications Requirements:

Education:

  • Have University degree in environmental sciences, environmental engineering, chemistry.
  • Have master degree in chemical engineering, electrical engineering

Work Experiences:

  • Experienced in an environmental public policy in Comoros.
  • Have an Excellent skill in writing and speaking communication skills, and the capacity to establish productive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable of the national context of Comoros and experience in environmental public policy in Comoros.
  • Must have Experience in multi-stakeholder engagement and working with government authorities in Africa.
  • Full Knowledge in modelling of GHG and air pollution mitigation measures with different software including LEAP IBC.
  • Have Experience in NDC and national communications development and revision.
  • Good Knowledge of GHG dynamics, short-lived climate pollutants, climate change and air pollution issues in Comoros.

Languages:

  • Fluency in both English & French languages is Required (both oral and written).

Key Responsibilities Career:

  • Develop a comprehensive methane roadmap following the CCAC Methane Roadmap Template.
  • Coordinate the preparation of National Methane Roadmap findings for presentation to the Government of Comoros.
  • The Expert is responsible for supporting the implementation of several environment planning projects.
  • Must advise and work with the qualified team to analyze, collect climate projects.
  • Skilled in Developing analytical and diagnostic maps, drawings, graphics and related reports.
  • Skilled in developing critical analysis of existing planning documents and instruments with CCAC support.
  • Developing training materials for CCAC, remote sensing, data analysis.
  • Developing and organize participatory, multi-stakeholder processes.
  • Must Providing technical recommendations to Environment documents and publications.
