As an intern in the Information Security – Identity and Access Management team at The Hershey Company, you will have a unique opportunity to work alongside a team of highly experienced professionals in a dynamic and innovative environment. This internship will provide you with valuable hands-on experience and the chance to contribute to critical projects and initiatives that play a vital role in safeguarding our digital assets and protecting sensitive information.

During your internship, you will be actively involved in various aspects of Identity and Access Management, gaining practical knowledge and skills that will help shape your future career in information security. You will work closely with our team to manage user identities and access controls within our systems and applications. This will involve assisting in the implementation and maintenance of identity and access management processes and technologies.

As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to participate in access reviews and audits to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations. Your contributions will directly impact the overall security posture of our organization.

Qualification:

  • Preferably a GPA of 3.3 or higher.
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a quantitative or STEM focus, such as Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Psychology (other degrees will also be considered).
  • Alternatively, enrolled in a program related to Cyber Security or Security Risk Analysis.
  • Strong conceptual, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal, including presentation and interpersonal abilities, are necessary for effective communication.

Preferred Skills:

  • Effective communication: Demonstrated ability to clearly and succinctly convey information to individuals or groups through verbal or written means, ensuring understanding of the message. Skilled in active listening and providing appropriate responses to others.
  • Technical support: Proficiency in comprehending both internal and external customer technologies and employing problem resolution techniques. Capable of effectively communicating with customers, actively listening to symptom descriptions, analyzing problems, and providing constructive feedback for issue resolution.
  • Accountability: Dependable and trustworthy, consistently completing work assignments within designated areas of responsibility in a punctual manner. Exhibits the ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptability: Maintains effectiveness and productivity when confronted with significant changes in work tasks or the work environment. Capable of adjusting seamlessly to new work structures, processes, requirements, or cultures.

Responsibilities:

  • Catalog Enrichment: The candidate will have the task of evaluating the entitlement and role catalog in our Access Request system. They will collaborate with owners to enhance the metadata in the catalog, ensuring that customers have access to informative data when requesting application access.
  • MFA Enrollment: The candidate will be in charge of collaborating with various business units to conduct research on users who have not yet enrolled in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). They will then work closely with these users to guide and assist them in the enrollment process.

The internship can be conducted in Hershey, Derry Township, Dauphin County, Pennsylvania, in the United States.
